Ring in the new year
Brit and Kate were married January 2nd at the San Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano. Their wedding was a joy to shoot because both of them and their entire wedding party were the coolest people to spend the day with. They were kind, funny, dynamic, and most of all, it was easy to tell that they really loved each other.
Brit and Kate took a gamble with me because at the time they decided to book my, I had not shot a full wedding yet! I shared my portfolio from my time as a second shooter and they liked it enough (I guess) to book me! Because they trusted me and my skills enough to bet on me, they will forever hold a very special place in my heart. Although COVID forced them to adapt their plans, their wedding was so beautiful. I guess the saying, "quality over quantity" applies to weddings too. Although the guest list was small, Brit and Kate loved, and were loved by everyone at the wedding! They wanted to remember every person at their wedding so they had a really fun and cool idea of getting a picture with everyone! Instead of doing the traditional table visits during dinner, they decided they wanted to visit with each table, say hello, and take a picture all within a single song. The DJ cranked the music and they started their "speed dating" table visits! The chaos and laughter was hilarious and so fun to be a part of.
We decided to do some romantic photos at the beach which ended up being an amazing idea because we were blessed with the best sunset and an amazing flock of birds even paid us a visit which gave us the coolest, most unique background I could have imagined for a beach shoot. Those photos ended up being some of my favorite from the day because the reactions on Brit and Kate's face were hilarious and 100% candid!
